1981

The Beginning in Sharjah

Our founder, Mr Ahmad, opened the first Al Mukhtar bakery in Sharjah in 1981, bringing with him a passion for authentic baking and traditional flavours. What began with freshly baked Arabic bread soon grew into a beloved bakery known for its quality, heritage, and unmistakable aroma.

1990

Expanding the Menu

As demand grew, Al Mukhtar expanded beyond Arabic bread to introduce samoon, followed by its now-signature variety of freshly topped manakish.

1996

Introducing the Stone Oven

Bringing the authentic taste of Lebanon to the Emirates. The first stone oven was built using traditional techniques to recreate the exact crispy exterior and chewy interior of our heritage bread.

2002

Expanding in Sharjah

With growing demand and a loyal customer base, Al Mukhtar opened its second branch in Sharjah, marking an important step in the brand’s journey across the UAE.

2007

A New Chapter in Ajman

With Ajman growing as a city that attracts more families and new communities, Al Mukhtar Bakery’s expansion there came as an extension of a steadily growing vision, bringing with it its authentic flavors, traditions, and the everyday sense of familiarity that defined its presence in Sharjah.

Tradition Meets Dubai

As Al Mukhtar opened in Dubai, it entered a city known for its dynamic spirit and forward-looking energy, bringing the warmth of Lebanese tradition to a setting shaped by modern life.

New Chapter in Muscat, Oman

Al Mukhtar’s arrival in Muscat marks more than a new location; it is a step into a new market with a wider vision. Rooted in Lebanese baking heritage and inspired by evolving tastes, this chapter introduces Oman to a richer Al Mukhtar experience while setting the foundation for the brand’s future growth across the MENA region.
